![]() Going by that I would give it a 6/10 as a fairly neat product, but as a single-player experience, the bugs and and poor quality of life issues drag it down to a 4/10. Solasta seems more like a framework for Dungeons and Dragons, with a cobbled together campaign as a tech demonstration, than an actual professional product. The missions are serviceable, but also sloppily constructed with little QA, and often bug out. I've been playing DnD forever, and I only had a vague idea of what a lot of these spells do. Spells only give general information and don't go into specifics. There's a serious lack of information in general. The tutorial is actually wrong about a number of things about crafting. The player can't craft while in the overworld map, even though the tutorial says that they can. Crafting is a complete black box with little information, feels tacked on, is mostly annoying, and doesn't really add anything to the game. This is really basic stuff that isn't coded properly. Every other time it bugs out, and you have to reorder your inventory or switch characters to get it to work. I can't stress enough how terrible the inventory management is. Other times the inventory will autoscroll to the top or bottom so you can't select anything. Sometimes you can't select beyond the first row. It feels like you have to make a luck skill check to be able to select through your items. Inventory is a mess, and completely bugged. Selecting just a single party member instead of the entire group can take multiple attempts because the control inputs aren't being properly read. This is basically Neverwinter Nights 3 with the 5th edition ruleset, and it achieves the remarkable feat of being almost as buggy and This is basically Neverwinter Nights 3 with the 5th edition ruleset, and it achieves the remarkable feat of being almost as buggy and unplayable as Neverwinter Nights 2 at release. Sure it's okay but this isn't anywhere near to perfect. I finished the game, but games like these need good stories, this doesn't have that. I think that would of been more fund, at least for me. I had to turn down the difficulty in some battles, I think some of this was due to the party comp that I had, I did wish however that we could have five instead of four characters in the group. The game is actually quite difficult at times. The voice acting is meh, nothing really stands out. not every cutscene for your characters needs to have a sarcastic remark. What doesn't help is the party dialogue/banter, it's funny once in awhile but doesn't fit a lot of the times as it's like forcing jokes to see if it works or not. You don't get any good loot/items for the most part, this always disappoints me when playing a crpg/dnd game and no good items The story is okay, but nothing that makes you want to do a second playthrough. Way too much repetitive battles of the same types of enemies, I mean how many times we got to fight spiders, (it's a surprise when you don't have to). Some others mention worse than that Character design is honestly bland looks like something from previous SIMS loool. ![]() For one, there are a lot of bugs that I experienced, the game would close out a lot when trying to reload the game, also the menu and shops are bugged. For one, there are a lot of bugs that I The game does match the DND 5e ruleset, but is that enough to be a great game? I don't think so.
